RateWise: AI Pricing Advisor Added to Huadini
RateWise, an AI pricing advisor for freelancers, was integrated into Huadini.
I added a new feature to LawrenceHua.io today: RateWise. It's an AI pricing advisor aimed at freelancers trying to navigate the murky waters of setting rates. The idea is to provide a bit of sanity when you're staring down a client request and have no idea whether you're about to overcharge or undersell yourself. RateWise taps into existing market data, crunches numbers, and gives a suggestion that you can either take or tweak.
The process wasn't without its quirks. Spent more time than I care to admit wrestling with file changes—30, to be exact. If there's a record for most file changes without breaking something, I might've set it today. And the Claude Code sessions? 64, which sounds impressive until you realize it means I spent a good chunk of time talking to an AI instead of humans. But hey, it works.
No major bugs this time, which is a pleasant surprise. But let's see how long that luck lasts. Freelancers, this one's for you. Let me know if it helps or if it just ends up being another tool that sounds better on paper than in practice.
