Shipping FinanceOS v2.4.0

Today was all about getting FinanceOS v2.4.0 out the door. This release introduces several key features, including AI-powered budget depletion forecasting that will help users predict their spending trends. This is a game-changer for anyone looking to manage their finances more effectively. The new UI for this feature is designed to be intuitive, making it easy for users to understand their budget status at a glance.

In addition to budgeting features, I implemented scheduled CSV export settings that allow users to automate their financial reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. This functionality enhances user experience by offering delivery options via email or iCloud, ensuring users can stay on top of their finances without manual effort.

We also focused on improving our Mint migration wizard. The new tooling now supports CSV import and category mapping, along with job progress tracking. This means users can easily transition their financial data from Mint to FinanceOS, which should lead to a smoother onboarding experience.

Lastly, I made updates to our AI categorization features, including a UI that displays reasons for categorizations, enables bulk re-categorizing, and incorporates a natural language search. This not only enhances usability but also adds a feedback loop to improve the accuracy of categorization over time. All in all, a productive day with some solid features shipped!

Looking ahead, I’m excited to see how users respond to these enhancements and will be monitoring feedback closely for future iterations.
