Shipping Smart Subscriptions and Cleaning Up Redirects
Today, I implemented some key features for FinanceOS, including subscription management and ML-driven transaction categorization. I also tackled several redirects and path fixes on lawrencehua.com to enhance the user experience.
FinanceOS Features Shipped
Today was all about enhancing FinanceOS. I fixed some lingering deprecation warnings and code quality issues, which was essential to keep our codebase healthy. The standout features include the implementation of subscription detection and management, which will allow users to track and manage their subscriptions more efficiently. Additionally, I added a machine learning-driven transaction categorization feature powered by Claude 4.7. This will help users categorize their transactions more accurately, saving them time and effort.Document Processing and Premium Tier Research
I also integrated improvements in document processing with Claude 4.7 in FinanceOS. This should streamline how we handle document uploads and processing for our users. On top of that, I conducted research and designed a premium tier subscription model, which will offer enhanced features for our users looking for more value from FinanceOS.Fixes and Improvements on lawrencehua.com
On the website front, I made several important fixes to lawrencehua.com. I added an exact redirect from/huadini to /Huadini and tightened the redirect patterns, which should eliminate some pesky redirect loops I noticed on Vercel Linux. I also fixed the Open Graph image path issues, ensuring that our content displays correctly when shared on social media. Finally, I added a missing product logo placeholder, which was a small but necessary touch to maintain our brand consistency.
Overall, it was a productive day with critical updates and improvements across both FinanceOS and my personal site. Excited to see how these changes impact user experience!
